Cloud Swirl Terracotta Coaster

A cluster of swirling clouds sits at the centre of this small terracotta coaster, drawn in dark line against a cream panel and framed by a deep oxblood red glaze. The contrast of the pale patterned middle and the rich red edge gives a lot of character to a small piece, and the swirl motif nods to traditional cloud and paisley forms. Sized for a mug or glass, it works on its own or as a set on a coffee or side table.
