Darood Sharif Wall Plate

This glazed terracotta wall plate carries the Darood, the salutation upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family, hand lettered in cream slip across a warm caramel ground. The script wraps in concentric rings around a central floral rosette, framed by a fine scrolling border, in the tradition of inscribed devotional ceramics. Made as a wall piece to be displayed and read, a considered gift for a new home, a wedding or Eid.
