Deep Dish Platter

A deep terracotta platter hand painted with an intricate radial medallion, a central sunflower opening into layers of blue, yellow and terracotta scrollwork, ringed by a blue and white chevron border around the rim. The dense symmetrical pattern draws directly from Andalusian and Mediterranean maiolica tradition, and the raised sides make it as much a centrepiece bowl as a platter. Deep enough to hold fruit, bread or salad, and handsome enough to leave out full or empty.

Terracotta
