Iqbal Shaheen Wall Plate

Iqbal's celebrated "Shaheen" verse is hand lettered in cobalt blue across this terracotta wall plate, the word Shaheen bold at the centre, framed by a lively red and turquoise chevron border. The lines, urging the falcon to make its home on the mountain crags rather than the domes of palaces, are among Iqbal's best loved, a call to self reliance and lofty ambition. Finished as a wall piece, a meaningful gift for a graduate, a student or anyone who carries these words.
