Tree of Life Terracotta Vase

A tree of life spreads across this terracotta cylinder vase, hand painted with a green trunk, turquoise and blue branches, red fruit and striped birds resting among the leaves. The detailing is done freehand in the tradition of folk botanical painting, so the birds and blossoms carry the movement of the brush. The tall straight form lets the artwork wrap fully around, making it a piece to display in its own right, with or without flowers.
