Watermelon Slice Side Plate

A single big wedge of watermelon sits at the centre of this white clay side plate, hand painted in soft coral pink with a red rind and scattered seeds against a sunny yellow ground brushed in rings out to the edge. The one bold slice on bright yellow gives it a cheerful, graphic simplicity, playful without being fussy. Just right as a side or dessert plate, or a decorative piece to prop on a stand.
